The great ocean road

Today I made my way from Torquay to Port Campbell along the Great Ocean Road.
My first stop was in Lorne, a lovely small town with a beach and lots of surfers in the water.
It was really beautiful.

Nearby was the Erskine Falls, which should be one of the nicest falls in Australia.
Due to the very dry weather right now, the falls weren't much more of just some drops going down.
All of the people there took it with quite some humor, suggesting to pour some water out of bottles down.

Next stop was Apollo Bay where I had an amazing Scallop Leek Curry Pie (Pastete mit Jakobsmuscheln und Lauchcurrysauce). Yummy!
At one point there was quite some traffic jam on the streets as everyone was trying to get a picture of Carisbrook creek, where hundreds of small rock piles had been buildby tourists.

Cape Otway was my next point to go. There was a lightower with a small park around it. Not really worth the entrance fee, but the lookout at top of the lightower was really nice.

The last stop was the Twelve Apostles National Park. The 12 Apostels are actually 11 huge rock stacks, which were made by tidal waves eroding limestone.

So now I'm sitting in the Port Campbell Hostel looking forward to get my pizza. Good night..
